Chancepedia should be easy to read and use for everyone. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
What we have done
- Text and interface colours meet AA contrast, in light and dark themes.
- Everything works by keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “skip to content” link.
- Long pages have a table of contents, a reading progress bar and clear headings, so you can see where you are.
- A reading settings panel lets you change text size and spacing, switch theme, reduce motion and use a dyslexia-friendly font.
- Tables scroll sideways on small screens, with the first column kept in view.
- Meaning is never shown by colour alone.
- Calculator and game results are announced to screen readers.
- Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels high on touch screens.
Known limits
Some older posts, third-party files and downloadable PDFs may not meet every guideline yet. Complex interactive tools are tested with keyboards and screen readers, but a problem can still slip through. We fix problems as we find them.
Tell us about a problem
If you cannot use part of the site, write to hello@chancepedia.com with the page address and what happened. Tell us how you would like to receive the information, and we will aim to reply within 5 working days and give you the content in another form where we can.
Technical note
This statement is based on our own checks. [Before launch, replace this with the browsers and screen readers you actually tested.]
