Bankroll

The amount of money a player sets aside for gambling. It should be money that is not needed for bills, savings or other essentials.

A bankroll is the fixed amount set aside for gambling, kept separate from everyday money. Setting it in advance, and stopping when it is gone, is a core safer play habit. Bankroll size does not change the house edge or the odds of any bet. It only decides how long a session can last and how much can be lost. A larger bankroll does not make a losing game profitable. Money from rent, loans or credit should never be part of a bankroll.

Example

A player sets a monthly entertainment budget of 100 units and treats it as spent once it is used. When the 100 units are gone, play stops until the next month.
