In sports betting, a draw is a tied result. Some markets, such as the three way result in soccer, treat the draw as its own outcome, while others, such as draw no bet, refund the stake if it happens. In poker, a draw is an unfinished hand that needs one or more cards to improve, such as four cards to a flush. The chance of completing a draw can be worked out by counting the cards that help, called outs, and comparing them with the cards still unseen.
Example
With four hearts after the flop and two more cards to come, nine hearts remain among 47 unseen cards. Each turn card has a 9 in 47 chance, about 19%, of completing the flush.
